- THE NOBEL PRIZE WINNERS
Translated by Lili Mchedlishvili
In March 1920 Ivan Bunin left Russia never to return from emigration. He was highly respected among the anti-Communist White émigrés. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1933 "or his strict artistry with which he has carried on the classic Russian tradition in prose writing".
The present publication includes several stories selected from his Dark Avenues (1946).
