Oktai Kazumov
born 29 August 1984.
He graduated from the Humanities Department of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi University. Since 2005 he has translated coursebooks and methodological materials for Azeri schools – the project of the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science.
He has translated the following: Mirza Fatali Akhundzade, Monsieur Jordan, the Botanist and Dervish Mastalishah (play, Intelekti), Vazha-Pshavela, Gogotur and Apshina (long poem, Diogene), Azeri Poetry in Georgian, Georgian Poetry in Azeri (Caucasian House), Ulvi Bunyadzade, The Life Road (long poem, Caucasian House).
He is the author of a collection of essays 129 Pages About Literature (Intelekti).
