Ghia Murgulia
After graduating from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University with honours, Ghia Murgulia was in charge of the literary section of Metekhi Drama Theatre, then worked as a teacher of Georgian language and literature in Tbilisi 23, 6 and 18 schools. He also was the Head of the Georgian Institute of School Teachers’ Re-Certification and director of school no. 24. At present he is the founder and director of a private school Logos.
He is the author of: Talks on Old Georgian Literature (1992, with co-authors), The Imagery of Davitiani (1998) and Thoughts on Education (2003).
Ghia Murgulia is also the author and publisher of several projects: Select World Short Stories in six volumes (2007-2008), Short Summaries of the World and Georgian Literature Masterpieces (2009), series Georgian Writers in Schools (1996-2009, 18 books), Wisdom in Miniature – Old and New Philosophical Fables from Around the World (2010) and Only For You – Love Poetry of Georgian Poets (2013).
He is the author of poems published in 2011 as a collection Evening Poems and the play Open Lesson which was staged in Nodar Dumbadze Theatre in 2008.
