1964-1994.

He graduated from the Art History Department of Tbilisi Academy of Fine Arts. From 1986 until his death he worked in G. Chubinashvili Institute of Art History.

He participated in numerous art exhibitions and symposiums in Georgia as well as abroad. For some time he worked in Francoise Friedrich Gallery, Cologne, Germany.

From 1989 he was on the editorial board of the magazine Literatura da Khelovneba, from 1990 he became the board member of the Art Critics’ Association.

In 1997 he was awarded Giorgi Chubinashvili prize for his contribution to the Georgian Art History studies. His essays and poetry were published in two volumes in 2006.
