The present collection includes diaries of the eminent Georgian public figures. The significant material covers the period from July 1904 to January 1932, which is important to understand the past: the publication of a newspaper by the Social-Federalists in Paris and its illegal spread in Georgia; an attempt to send weapons aboard Sirius for revolutionary needs; the establishment of the state bank of the First Democratic Republic; abolishing National-Democratic party in 1923; the 1920s purges by the Bolsheviks; the Zugdidi uprising of August 1924.
The book includes diaries kept by such prominent social and political figures as Giorgi Dekanozishvili, Iason Lortkipanidze, Davit Kartsivadze and Akaki Chanturia.
