The book invites us to take a trip into the rich artistic world of Bachana Bregvadze, the well-known translator. His thoughts and opinions derive from his extensive experience accumulated while translating the world classics into Georgian.

In his introduction the author says: "Jean de La Bruyère, the 17th century French writer finished his book Characters with the words: “I will be surprised if the readers dislike the characters and will be surprised if they like". I would like to paraphrase saying, "I will be surprised if the readers like my Notes and if they dislike them, it’s their problem".
