In everyday life Archil Pirtskhalava could hardly be called modest and humble, but when it came to publishing his poems, he became extremely shy. His attitude can be explained by the reverence he felt towards Georgian literature and the responsibility he would be taking by joining the poets’ ranks. The present book includes poems from earlier publications as well as some from Levan Bregadze and Chimaroza Akobia’s personal archives. Some of the poems could not been published due to their content or form, which is not a problem nowadays.
