As an exceptionally sensitive writer, Jemal Topuridze knew all too well that only human sympathy can save individuals. His attitude towards his characters is likewise delicate, revealing empathy, pain and sometimes even irony.  However, there is something else there too, as if seeping through his writing from his subconscious which is his characters’ readiness to do the utmost for their loved ones, to act selflessly in dire situations. It might be the essence of existence that the author searched for in his life.
