Literature seems to be the most truthful witness of historical events, the most unbiased, as well as the most faithful keeper of the past. The samples of the Georgian literature published in the present book are an excellent illustration of how our recent past can be reflected in fiction.

 

The stories by the Georgian writers give us a wonderful opportunity to trace the historic stages our country went though, to directly experience the life under the Soviet regime, along with its sick nature manifested in various ways.
