In the village of Sabero near Akhmeta, Vazha Pshavela had his own vineyard which he regularly visited. His trusted worker Dzodzia Paargashvili tended to the lot during the year, but Vazha enjoyed squeezing grapes himself and keeping the juice in little clay pots dug in the ground, leaving it to ferment into wine. Later, the pots were given to Levan Baiashvili and today they are part of the memorabilia in Vazha Pshavela’s museum, which cannot boast of many items on display, but each of them is invaluable.
