Emails on Afghanistan
- Modern Georgian Prose
Emails on Afghanistan is Rati Mujiri’s second book and it makes a sort of sequence of the journalist first text – My Syrian Translator. Real facts and naked naturalism – after a number of fictional texts or adaptations on the themes of Afghanistan, Rati Mujiri uses his signature humor and self irony to describe real cases of war cruelty, personal tragedies, zoophilia and pedophilia.
How Afghans live in war, what role Georgian mission for peace plays in the international operation, what are the coalition forces doing in this once world’s hottest spot. The events described by the author took place mainly in 2010-2013, however the book is written in 2019-2020. Natural alternation of facts and imagination results into the formation of an emotional and true story.
