Giorgi Shonia
Giorgi Shonia was born on October 14, 1991, in Zugdidi. He studied at the Faculty of Business at Ilia Chavchavadze State University in 2010-2015. In 2017 he completed his MA of Philology in Foreign Languages and Comparative Literature at the same university.
In 2013 he participated in the literary project – "International Translation Masterclass in Poetry", together with Ukrainian, Belorussian and Lithuanian poets.
Giorgi Shonia's debut collection of poems – "Fabrication" that was published with the literary pseudonym of Hans Promwell in 2016 won the "Litera" award for the best debut.
He was bestowed with the Tsinandali Award for the book "Robots' Flowers" in 2020.
His poetry is translated into Lithuanian, Belorussian and Ukrainian languages.
