Wait, Soul ...
Merab Kostava’s poems are a true reflection of his soul, mind and life. They read like a hymn to his integrity, sensitivity, willpower and honour. However, the turbulent times turned him into a national hero, somewhat overshadowing his poetic talent. His poetry is distinguished due to two chief themes: his unlimited trust in God and his sorrow over the nonbelievers, because he was confident about the road to salvation. Merab Kostava’s poems, especially the epic ones, resemble monumental canvases or murals with unique frescos.
