Alexandre Lordkipanidze
Born in 1988.
In 2009 Alexandre Lordkipanidze graduated from Shota Rustaveli Cinema and Theatre University. In 2011 he received the Master’s Degree in Tele-Cinema Drama from the same University. He is the member of the Elite Intellectual Club of Georgia and the captain of the Georgian youth team of the international intellectual game What? Where? When?
He has received several prizes and awards in literature, among them: Alubloba in 2009 and 24-Hour Theatre Festival Prizes in 2011 and 2012. He was one of the founders of the Pink Bus poetic group, and has published three poetic collections: Blue, Polly Pollack and Transparent. He also is the author of several film scripts and plays, which were staged in Georgia at various times. At present he is the presenter of two TV programmes, Index on TV 11 and The Maestro Noon on Maestro Channel, and the author and presenter of the programme Hit Gallery on Radio Fortuna.
In 2011, 2012 and 2013 his short stories were published in a collection of the Best Stories of the Year. In his free time he composes music.
