Tamar Gegeshidze
Tamar Gegeshidze was born in 1986 in Batumi. In 2003, she entered the Faculty of Georgian Philology at Tbilisi State University, and in 2010 she was awarded a master’s degree, which was followed by a PhD in 2014.
Over the years, Tamar worked as an editor while also working on and creating children’s texts as an author. Eventually, she found a place for herself in the teaching profession, and this profession, as well as her relationships with children, became her sphere of influence.
She made her literary debut in 2018 with a children’s novel “Soul-Bird” which quickly became a bestseller. Intelekti published her second book “Erasers” in the end of 2019. Both books are about modern adolescents’ everyday life, their relationships and problems. “Erasers“ was nominated the bestseller of 2020 by Georgian Publishers and Booksellers Association.
