The Story of the Sleepless
- Modern Georgian Poetry
The present collection is Salome Benidze’s second book of poems. This time the author tells about her sleepless nights, about the impossible future for the sleepless, the homeless and the deprived, the suicidal people and those who have no homeland. In one of her poems she says: "I have often seen the streets opening their eyes, and often have I said I wouldn’t live through the night, that at five in the morning our houses are like fireflies which lost their way in the city".
