The book is a collection of poems written in 1978-1991. Guram Odisharia’s first book of poetry was also published under the same title and it was decided that all similar editions should be called the same.
The wide public is familiar with Guram Odisharia’s novels and stories which were written following the tragic events of the 1990s in Abkhazia. Once he said: "Till 1992 I was writing poems. Then the war began and the poems abandoned me". In itself it is a noteworthy statement because, apart from the poet’s destiny, it also reflects the mental state of the entire country.
The book is interesting due to the diverse poetic forms which are applied to express a whole range of emotions and impressions born in a seaside town and then spread as psalms about the water, sky, moon and silence, unsent letters, the thoughts of a child on his way to kindergarten, September diary and many other images.
