The current publication is a book of travel and relationships, in which the author tells her stories with an infinite love of life. The prose with an interesting focus and appealing narrative style is born from seemingly everyday, often documentary stories.
Manana Dumbadze sees stories in life and life in stories, but in both cases her primary interest lies with people, with their diverse characters, habits and whims. The geography of the book is quite wide: the impressions of travelling to Asia, Europe and America are rendered in a light-hearted manner, humorously and naturally.
The author seems to feel the presence of her eminent father throughout her narrative. At the same time, the book is permeated with a painful sense of missing Abkhazia. Thanks to its topics, style and focus, the travelogue is an important asset for the contemporary Georgian literature.
