Born 1985.

 

In 2006 Lado Kilasonia studied in the Sharks Rugby Academy in Durban, South Africa. In 2007 he graduated from the Diplomatic History Department of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. At present he is the coach of the Georgian rugby team (ages 19-20), member of the Rugby Development group and coach of the National Rugby Academy. He was the champion of Europe four times: as a player in 2005, as a coach in 2011, 2013 and 2014.

 

Lado Kilasonia has written about rugby and other topics in various periodicals, has been in charge of the rugby section in the magazine Hot Chocolate. Also, He is the author of seven books: The Fence; The Sleepless; When It’s Too Late; The Web Story; May the Infidel M Fail to Find Me; In Fantômas’ Footsteps, or Why Are You so Sad, My Beautiful Homeland and The Bronx á la Gold Quarter (Intelekti Publishing).  


His publications have been translated into the Russian, Polish and Lithuanian languages, as well as nominated for the prestigious literature prize Saba. He has received special prizes in the competitions: One Story, Guram Rcheulishvili Competition, The Best Prose Piece of the Year by the magazine Chveni Mtserloba (Our Literature).
